Community based storytelling is the core of our work. Docbloc's nonfiction storytelling residencies bring teaching artists to work directly in senior, youth, and community centers in developing original, devised nonfiction theatre and performance events. Docbloc offers training classes and professional development rooted in nonfiction and devised theatre techniques. We have worked in middle schools, high schools, community centers, universities. We have partnered with Theatre, Applied Theatre and Media Studies programs and colleges and universities for semester long classes, lectures, devised projects, and documentary theatre development.

Docbloc's performances Raw Thought and The College Monologues have been developed through university partnerships.
